Join Opera Wyoming this summer as we present the Tony Award-winning musical based on Frances Hodgson Burnett's 1911 novel.

Auditions - May 2024
Performances July 2024

This enchanting classic of children's literature is reimagined in brilliant musical style by composer Lucy Simon and Marsha Norman, the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright of 'Night Mother. Orphaned in India, 11-year-old Mary Lennox returns to Yorkshire to live with her embittered, reclusive uncle Archibald and his disabled son Colin. The estate's many wonders include a magic garden which beckons the children with haunting melodies and the "Dreamers," spirits from Mary's past who guide her through her new life, dramatizing The Secret Garden's compelling tale of forgiveness and renewal.

Opera Wyoming strives to cultivate a culture of connectedness and inclusion. We believe the strength of our organization is dependent upon the unique perspective each volunteer brings to our operations and our performances. Diverse life experiences, knowledge, self-expression, and talents make for richer artistic expression, honest storytelling, and relevant programming that is better for our community. Opera Wyoming actively seeks to represent all communities in Wyoming in all areas of our operations, including our board, volunteers, and committees. Opera Wyoming does not discriminate based on race, creed, ethnicity, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, education, religion, beliefs, or any other factor that would deny access to participation in our performances as volunteer, performer, or audience member.

Our mission is to enhance the cultural landscape of Wyoming. We are doing this by producing high-quality productions throughout the state; whether through pop-up appearances at public events or our fully staged productions.
